Origin

There are two theories about the origin of cage football. One is that it originated from the sailors who like football in South America, and the other is that it originated from the one-on-one street football in the Netherlands in the 1980s.

Dimensions of five-a-side cage football field

The general length is 40m (44m with buffer zone), the width is 20m (22m with buffer zone), and the field area is 800㎡ (968㎡ with buffer zone).

Sideline

The two longer boundary lines of the football field are called sidelines, and the goal line is shorter.

Penalty area

The size specification of the penalty area is to draw an arc with a radius of 6m with the goal post as the center. One end of the arc is connected to the goal line, and the other end is connected to a straight line parallel to the goal line. The area formed by the arc, the goal line and the straight line is the penalty area.

Penalty point

Draw a marking line perpendicular to the goal line. The length of this marking line is 6m, which is the correct position of the penalty point. The goal of the football field should be located in the middle of the two goal lines. The goal should be 2m long and 3m wide.

The artificial turf should be filled with a density of 10500-13000 needles/m2, the DETX value of the artificial turf should be above 8000, the height of the artificial turf should be 32-40mm, the quartz sand filling amount of the field should be 20-30KG/m2, the rubber particles of the field should be 1mm-3mm in diameter, and the rubber particles filling amount of the field should be 4-7KG/m2.
